[Misc] Print queue hangs on Windows server 2008 R2 - MX-C300W

    Hi everyone,

I have 3 MX-C300W's in a corporate environment, They all print through 2008 R2 server.
When the client prints it locks the print queue on the server.

When this happens I am able to ping copier from a local computer but not from the print server.
Rebooting the copier releases any print jobs in the print queue.

The latest drivers and firmware are installed.
I have also backdated firmware and it still faults.

The issue only started 3 weeks after I installed the machines, before that they were running fine.
The I.T assures me no network changes were made in this time.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks
    Rick

Make sure that there isn't a corrupt print job in the queue %SystemRoot%\System32\Spool\Printers, turn off all copiers, restart the servers print spooler and turn on copiers.

Create a new queue, when you install the device make sure that the Device Type is set to TCP/IP Device, if it is set to Web Services for Devices this can cause some issues. Also, make sure the Render print jobs on client computers is ticked. Enable advanced printing features can be disabled in most cases. Enable bidirectional support can also cause some issues.

If the devices have a fixed IP outside of the DHCP range then you should be printing to this, if not, set them to DHCP and print to the hostname.
