I have a MX M950 that will throw the occasional F1-15 error code. I know this is related to the finisher, and have cleaned all sensors on said finisher. Also re-seated the connectors to finisher main board( just for giggles, you never know) and checked main board on main body to be on safe side. The machine will jam at fuser exit and throw the code after clearing jam. I am stumped and would appreciate any ideas. Thank you.

Re: MX-M 950 F1-15 code
Sharp says that the 256Mb DIMM on the MFP board can cause this error but I suspect that the tray lift motor is the culprit. They have issued a specified life cycle for them at Sharp so I would say they are having issues with this component and are implementing the CYA protocol. -
Re: MX-M 950 F1-15 code
Agree with above; replace the tray lift motors. We are constantly moving garbage cans and recycle bins under the finisher trays when this code appears. A month later, same garbage can under the same tray....customers....
Also check for a frame screw in the track that has backed itself out. I have seen this at least 3 times.

Offset tray lift motor should be replaced every 1000k as part of routine maintenance part number 0PPAX050277
Hope this helps.Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essentialComment
