Have a mx-5111 that keeps getting u2-11, to date sd card and mfp been replaced but still getting code, anyone seen this problem? Thanks in advance.

You may have to replace the EEPROM on the MFP (if the pwb has one).

Checksum error. Normally you can just reset with sim 16 and it won't return:

U2 11 Content Counter check sum error (ICU)
Detail Counter data area check sum error
Cause EEPROM troubleControl circuit trouble by noiseICU PWB EEPROM access circuittrouble
Check andremedy
Check that EEPROM is properlyinserted.Save the counter/adjustment valueswith the DIAG simulation.Use DIAG (SIM16) to cancel U2trouble.

Replace the ICU PWB.

We had the same issue with an MX-5111N. It was intermittent. I think we tried boards, HDD, and SD card. We ended up swapping the machine out and now use it as our office copier. We get the code once every three weeks or so and simply reset.

I am pretty certain that our machine has a faulty EEPROM. We don't mind the issue in the office and have no plans to ship them off to Japan to be re-written.
