I have a customer with an MX4141N that needs to be able to run 8 1/2" x 15" paper in duplex through a paper drawer. Out of the box you cannot set the cassettes to a custom paper size. The manual says that custom sizes can be used in trays 1 and 2 through soft switches. Does anyone know if this is true and what switch it might be?

I will need to verify this at work but I'm pretty sure you can set manual paper sizes on this unit in system setting tray settings. Pretty straight forward all Sharps have done this for awhile but I will look at our unit at the shop.

There is no option in tray settings on this model for trays 1-4. In the service manual specs it says it can be accomplished through soft switches. Although it has an asterisk with it that has the letter J by it. I'm hoping it doesn't mean Japan only or something.Comment
