Sharp MX 2700n. Copies will not be offset.

    Hello

On the top of the screen (on the black color panel) I have following information

    Ready to scan for copy.
    Copies will not be offset.

What can I do to clear this information "Copies will not be offset"?
Copier works fine. It had RBX1 tray installed before which I removed but probably it is not link to this issue.

Not quite sure what you mean jack, if it had an rbx1 then it had a fnx2. Is the finisher completely disconnected. I think the finisher couldn't offset paper under a certain size

This Sharp came to my friend without finisher. It had RBX1 installed so we removed it because of L4-11 error. After that error disappear and we could use the copier. I am not sure if finisher has been disconnected completely (we do not have finisher). I think we should setup something but we do not know what?.

that is normal message, the offset function default is probably set to off. Take 2 pages put them in doc feed, make 3 copies, are each set being offset.

The "Copies will not be offset" message is normal and simply means that the copier's settings are not set to offset. If you want to change the default copy settings to offset copies (which is the factory default), simply do this at the copier:

          System Settings button
Admin Password -> admin is the default password
          Page down to Copy Settings
          Initial Status Settings
          Page down to Output
Place a checkmark in the box next to Offset
Hit a bunch of OKs and exit on out

This will get rid of your message and your copies will now offset by default.

            Thanks
I was looking to Copy Settings but didn't go to Initial Status Settings.

            Thanks a lot.
            Problem solved.

Just FYI... If you are using mixed size original then offset must be turned off. We have multiple customers that have mixed size original turned on by default. The only bad part about that is that offset is then disabled by default as well. You must go in to special modes and turn off mixed size original to be able to offset.
