I've encountered this on two separate machines now. Both are new machines and both have had the same issue.
They have an MX-FN17 that jams every time. The paper will roll up / fold in on itself prior to exiting the finisher. After a fair amount of cursing, I discovered that it had thrown a belt. It's labeled as the timing belt (55) in the PG. The belt wraps around a lower gear and an upper gear with an idler pulley in the middle. There doesn't seem to be any flange holding the belt in place on the lower gear, which allows the belt to wander off. And of course this is behind all the boards.
I just wanted to give a heads up. Has anyone else run into this? I've got a ticket opened with Sharp about it.
