    MX-2300 - Dead machine

I have a MX-2300 that has no display or lights on Ops panel but the fans are running. The fans may take 30 seconds to kick on at startup but never shut off. The fuser does not heat up.

I swapped memory from DIMM2 to DIMM3, per bulletin, Same issue. I swapped AC and DC PWB out, same issue.

All fuses on AC and DC PWB have continuity. I have measured 3V, 5V, 12V and 24 V on mother and PCU PWB. I have measured 24V at the SCN PWB and LVPS PWBs fuse.

I have unplugged all the motors and fans that I have seen on the back of the machine, including the ones behind the MFP and PCU PWBs.

    Thank you for any help.

Have you tried memory from another machine or that memory in another machine. We've had quite a few of these happen and it has almost always been a memory issue.

    Good luck.

Thanks for the advice. The new memory did not resolve the issue. I finally got the power light above the aux. power switch, when I replaced the OPE PWB. I then got the display to come up on a regular basis, when I replaced the MFP PWB.

      The machine is now working.
