They are very similar. I think the supplies are the same. The op panel is bigger on the mx. There are some changes to the developer unit on the mx. ( You have to take out a screw to remove dv unit on mx.) On the whole they are pretty close.
The ARM355-455 series supplies are the same but not the ARM350-450 series supplies.
You can use the drum (AR451DR but it doesn't last as long as the AR455DR)) and cleaning blade (same) from the ARM350-450 series but the developer (AR450ND) is completely different as is the developer unit (will not fit) and the fuser has different thermistors but these can be changed if you like. The drum units are interchangeable but there are several differences. The turnover assembly has a single connector that is different and the main drive is also different (can't remember what the difference is but it is different). Most of the other mechanical parts are the same and are interchangeable.
