GDI driver for sharp ar-m257

I need a GDI driver for a sharp ar-m257, the customer just upgraded there computer to a windows 8 64 bit os and I can not find a windows 8 gdi driver that will work, I have tryed the universal print driver with no success

Time to upgrade machine to MXM models like the MXM-310N

Install the drivers in Compatibility mode.

fyi,

the "GDI" driver for win 7 and win 8 is on both sharpusa.com and sharp tech site. Sharp changed name to SPLC. Have used it recently since a few customers had to upgrade to win 8 since win xp support was dropped.

As ashamed as I am to say it, at this point I just use a HP driver. The 257 likely doesnt have any features the HP driver can't do.
