    [Jamming] MX-SP10 spf jamming

Has anyone had this problem. I have a sharp MX-B201d copier where the spf doesn't feed paper in
and the machine makes the noise for the scanner moving but the spf motor does not turn and the document does
not move. When I do the spf aging test (test command 2 sub 2 the motor moves and everything works. Not sure what
    to do.

It sounds like when you load up the doc feed it's still using the platen glass? I would suspect that your paper detect sensor in the SPF isn't triggering properly. Take a wrap off the spring that operates that sensor flag and you should be good.

The check mark appears stating the document is in spf when I load paper in spf.

when you turn on the copier , does the motor turn on for the doc feeder, one off the last items that is checked before machine comes to ready. if not it could be mcu pwb. also make sure black lines on scan plate/guide on doc feeder are not worn, when doc feed is closed the black lines(if worn sharpie is handy for quick fix) are read by copier for 41-06 setting and to check if doc feed is closed. had similar problem that you have and it was mcu pwb.

Try cleaning and lightly lubing the rod that your exposure lamp assembly rides on. If this assembly doesn't make it to the slit glass the copier will react as you describe. Very similar to the AR168 on which this was a common problem.

As stated most of the time follow 41-06 as per manual. Clean the rod and bushings. Clean the optics very very well then clean them again. Takes care of this more times than not.
