I have seen this a few times; had one yesterday so I took a few pictures. This is a FN16 finisher with an immediate F1-03 error at power up. The swing gate opens and stays open.
The rear pivot point for the swing gate pops out, causing the actuator to miss 1 of the switches. This is a pic of the rear pivot point, main control pwb is removed:

If you remove the upper exit finisher cover, you can access the double switch:

One of the switch arms gets on top of the actuator switch arm jumped.jpg.....instead of behind it switch arm normal.jpg
Re-seat the rear pivot, check the switch arms, good to go.
