Sharp MX 2300n color match problem

    Hello

My Sharp makes purple copy/prints instead of gray.
Is it any simple method to correct it?
I tried auto-calibration (system settings) but I was able to print first A3 page with four colors (they were ok) and then when I put it to glass it failed.

I attached my color match problem.
    1 pic is original
    2 pic shows purple color
3 pic shows both pages (left side is purple instead of gray)

If your auto calibration failed then it's probably time to do a full color calibration after you give the unit a good cleaning!

    Good luck.

Agreed. Its probably also time for a color pm. Have you changed your default value in sim 63-11? default is DEF2 which tend to turn your grays reddish or muddy. DEF3 is a cooler tone which will add more cyan. DEF1 is neutral on the color wheel, and will give you clean grays and blacks

Edit: Be sure to run your full calibration after you make any changes in 63-11

DEF 1 is the default for all Sharps out of the box. DEF 2 is middle, DEF 3 is towards cyan. On new machines using Pantone, the machine MUST use DEF 1 or Pantone does not work properly.

When you have color problems, the best way is a full calibration, clean all mirrors, ccd, copy glasses en laser dust glasses, then calibrate the CCD with a sit cart ( special sharp gray scale cart ), sim. 63-03, check the LSU skew by sim 61-04 en adj. when nessesairly, ( skrew's in front of de LSU ),
calibrate the density sensor by using a jig, sim 44-13, check drum fase/image reg. control by sim-50-22 ( select all ), clearing half tone proces control values by sim 44-27, then exec. forged proces control by using sim 44-06, and exec. half tone image correction by sim. 44-26, set sim. 63-11 and 67-26 at def 2, use large paper ( nice quality ) and calibrate the machine ( 4 times repeat ! ) by using sim 46-24, then adj. density by using sim 46-01 ( color copy key ) and sim. 46-02 ( black and white key ), reset printer calibration settings by using sim 67-31 and do the printer calibration by using sim 76-24 ( 4 times repeat )

I have done this for several years for the best result's..

            Kind regards
