Had an issue just the other day with this. Customer was trying to print a recipe from some website with a tremendous amount of graphics. Machine would code out. Deleted print job from que and word docs printed just fine. Tried to print recipe again and same code. Verify if it is only happening with one end user or multiple, and what are they trying to print when this happens. Good Luck

Would also suggest checking connections of NIC card to make surely firmly connected. Maybe remove DIMM's and clean with a pencil eraser.

F9-88 can also be caused by a faulty ground in the power.

We've normally found that this is a power fluctuation issue. Put a meter on the outlet and check it out. This is something simple to show the customer that will get the copier out of the situation.

                Hello everyone.

We are having this issue with our Sharp AR-M257. We can no longer print to the machine but we can still copy and receive faxes. Our copier technician said it was a software issue and instructed us to have our IT person reinstall the driver (which was not the solution of course). But what is the solution if it is a power fluctuation issue? Would it be possible to provide some details that I may pass along to our copier technician?

Thank you very much for any assistance you may be able to provide.

Kill all print jobs, in all computers, that print to the machine. Disconnect network cable and Turn machine off and back on. Now you can turn the machine back on and it will work.

If you don't kill the print job, or if you try to print the same thing, the problem will come back.

Your machine does not have a post script driver and will have difficulty printing certain documents.

If you don't have time to kill all prints jobs in computers or your clients finds this to be to much trouble, then change the copiers I.P. address. setup one computer to print to it to show them that it works. Complex print jobs are hanging the copier up and stopping it from printing.
