    color issue

Has anyone noticed differences in printed color on new sharps? I have a 4140 and a 4101 in same building with new employees (of course including it) where the colors are different shades printed from same excel file. 64-5 (internal test print, I could be wrong on tc, been a long day) cyan on the 4101 is slightly less bright and I don't think replacing consumables will help. Looking for a way to explain to customer. I have seen old files not print the same on new machines but have not seen new files print different on old machines. Just tired and looking for help. This might need to go in the rants and raves but I wanted to take a chance here. Really just looking for reason to get out of replacing parts. You guys are awesome and I know I could get good input here. Thanks.

Totally different toners. Could be the toner particle size. Just consider the difference in output from one family of imagers to the next, its huge. Try taking file and printing on same model at different location and compare as apple to apple comparison.

Different newer developer, and the fusing belt puts a sheen on the fused image that the roller system in the 4101 doesn't.
I'd run full calibrations on both, if the supplies aren't ready yet.
I also think the primary transfer belt feels slightly thinner also, making for more complete transfer.
Where the heck is my spring hook?

I did a 6500 IT belt today and would have to agree with you, had to be a a tab more careful than usual.
