    MX4640n U2-60 after HDD failure

    So i was reading around at the other posts. I have installed the e-manual but the issue persists. I have tried to clear the error in simulation. I see posts pointing to a missing watermark I need to load on the MFP, but at the sharp IDNC and sharpusa I cannot find any watermark downloads.

    Where do i find it?

      It is the top file in the firmware library on the IDNC site; 6.3MB.

              If you roll over the Read Me link it should tell you Engine, Water Mark or E-Manual

                  Yes I noticed this and used it to install the e manual but none say watermark. But I can't test the first link until after the holidays.

                      If you can't find it for that particular model try another one in that series, it will be the same. As mentioned above you can hover over the read more or click on it to get a pop up window with the information.

                      FYI Had a fellow tech try to replace a 320Gb HDD with a 160Gb HDD, it did not work and he kept getting U2-60 error codes and the watermark would not update for that drive (generic error message). Funny thing was he could format the 160Gb HDD in simulations and it tested good but he couldn't update the water mark. Maybe he had a bad drive maybe not but he put a 320Gb drive in and it worked fine.

                          So turns out that the hover description was a lie, when you click the description and open the page it says watermark. Thanks soo much.
