Data security kit FR40U on a MX-2314

Hi,

We have a MX-2314 installed. The MX-2314 has no HD. Whenever we try to install the Data Security Kit (placed the ROM and set the switch to off) the MFD won't boot. What could be the problem?

Faxman is correct. What's the point of adding a data security kit if the machine has no hard drive? Nothing is being stored anywhere.
