    Load paper on MX2640

    Hello,

We have a MX2640 installed at a client. The machine displays a message load paper, but there is enough paper in the papertray. When he opens and closes the tray the machine prints again. He gets this 3 times a day. We have updated the latest firmware and even changed the DE14 because he sometimes also got the message from the second tray.

Does anyone know what this could be?

    Kind regards,

    Ramon

I also have a mx3640 with exact same issue and the trays get opened and closed to print out and then it goes away.
I have replaced said sensors with no change and am currently out of options to repair.
All the settings are set to fit to page and a4/letter resize.
My problem is over thin clients on a citrix network and both the ud2 driver and pcl6 drivers have been tried.
All firmware is up to date and ports not being used have been disabled.
Un fortunately I do not control the network environment and Sharp is not being very cooperative on this matter till I do a package capture on the mfp at hand which is impossible to do cause I do not have and cant get a dumb hub to run the software for the capture.
Does anyone else experience this LOAD PAPER IN TRAY 1 error on the sharps they service?

                Re: Load paper on MX2640

I have the latest ( ARS2_MAIN_0500A2) firmware already loaded and the problem is still happening with load paper two to three times a day and I did confirm that. Do I have to back firmware to the one you listed specific for that problem?
If anyone has any other suggestions I am all ears.
The copier was swapped with exact model and options and the new copier is doing it as well.
I did find a dumb hub and was able to do a packet capture during the failure to no avail Sharp told me to disable another port v1-v3 snmp.
Still have same issue two to three times a day.
