I recently rebuilt the black drum on my Sharp MX-2700N. The rebuild was for the green roller only - I did not get the blade. When I rebooted the machine, it worked fine - the issue I was having with back ghosting was gone. However, there was a streak running down the middle of the page.
I pulled the black drum out to discover a piece of the protective paper from the factory jammed in there. I pulled it out and was very happy that I had solved my problem.
However, when I rebooted, I received error code F2-40, which I take to understand is a black toner supply problem.
I cannot recall, but there is a possibility that I may have forgotten to turn the screw to the "U" shaped opening the last time I pulled the black drum.
Could this have caused the black drum to fall out of alignment some how?
Or is there another issue I need to look for?
Of course, I am extremely behind my printing schedule after waiting for the rebuild kit and a day lost doing the above described.
