[Error Code] F0-51 Trimmer Motor error on MXTM10 in MXFN22

Hi All, just wondering if anyone has seen this error code (F0-51) on an MXTM10 trimmer unit in an MXFN22? We have sharpened the trimmer blade, lubricated all drives, and changed the home position sensor.

Does the trimmer work in service mode load test?
Is it a new install or already in the field?

Hi Mojorolla, the unit works for a while then throws up the code. When we sharpened the blade and cleaned the unit it worked for a couple of days then the code returned. The unit has done 18000 cuts. What we have seen is the blade coming down, and sometimes it doesn't cut the paper. This seems to delay the blade returning to home position. We have also noticed that the blade sometimes seems to travel too far down towards the trimming box. This resulted in the arm that opens the trim box becoming deformed. This had been repaired. And of course, the manufacturer has 'never seen this type of issue' 😀

If you're dead certain the trimmer has been installed exactly according to instructions, and the motor and sensors are ok in sim tests, and the FN22 main & saddle firmware are current (1.17.01 and 1.08.01) then make sure the FN22 is on its own dedicated power circuit. The FN22 and TM10 have had issues running on the same circuit as the engine when combined; and it's actually a requirement of the installation anyways. Give it a check and see how it goes for ya!

Thanks for that. I am back on site on Thursday and will check all those items. I will update you after that.
