    [Misc] MX-3640 printing issue

So, a customer emailed me a page with this statement: ""
    See attached.
    Sharp_Printer_Sharp@chaznline.com_20150417_115431.pdf

It is a 3 hour drive to the customer location and I've never heard of this and can't find anything in the Sharp manuals. A quick prayer to St. Google (the patron saint of all things unknown) leads me to believe that it's some sort of PostScript issue.

    This is a 3 month old MX-3640.

I'm leaning towards PWB... Has anyone seen this before?

    Thanks in advance!

Definitely a postscript issue. I would start with memory before jumping to boards.

There was mention of this in a TB, but it had to do with printing excel documents from Mac OS. Suggested a FW update.... could be related I suppose. I'll try the FM, do some memory tests and go from there... Thanks!

If PDF try "Print as Image"

3 hour drive.....I would first ask customer to allow you to remote in via Show My PC or something similar and do firmware remotely.

Offending command addglyph points to a problem with a specific text or font element.

Is it the same doc or same type of doc (same program to create doc ,like adobe , quark ) try the same job using PCL instead of Postscript.

forget the pcl missed that you mentioned Mac OS . Make sure the Mac "driver" was setup with LPD and not on Bonjur or port 9100. Mac printing seems to do better with LPD on the Sharp MFPs.
