Sharp MXC402SC FN12 Finisher Not Stapling problem

Intermittently one or two sheets will not feed back into the stapling position. So, in a set of 10 pages, one or two would not be stapled.

I could only catch it a few times and noticed the rollers in the FN12 not fully dropping down to reverse the page back into the staple position. As far as I could see the rollers were turning, but the swing arm holding the rollers did not fully drop. Manually turning by hand worked every time, no hang ups, no obvious obstruction.

Firmware current.

Machine is new, installed 3 months ago.
Drive belt for that swing arm looked ok.

Any suggestions?
