[Jamming] mx-3501 . frequently occures jamming in top of the fiusing

frequently occures jamming (in top of the fiusing) that the way which ends to exiting transport part.

in the duplex mode ever ever occures.i mean always occures in the 2sided copies.but in the 1 side copies happening frequently.

some week ago the transfer belt was torn & i replace it.but now created this problem.

meanwhile , before replace the belt , machine was work good.

What are your Jam codes? and How many of each. If its only showing one of each . Go to SIM 26-35 and change the value to 1. This will track frequencies and order of occurrence. I turn this on every machine I can find.

First of all come back with that jam code,
Second there is a lot of heat building up so check that the 2 ventilators are working and are not obstructionated

              no....these things wasn't efficcient.
              sim26-35 was on 1 syne.
but in 1side prints there is no jam anymore.just in 2side mode remain it.
when jam is occurs, about 2 cm of end of paper remain in the fusing & balled.

Meanwhile, i had to say sorry vlad robas.i couldn't understand your talk.cause i am iranian & i don't know english very well.but if you rewrite that in the simple english language, i will understant.i hope , you don't get upset from me.

The 3501 is quite old had has probably seen a lot of service, open up the right side door and check the black paper guide under the gate. its the part that has the notch in it for the sensor arm on the exit of the heater. these guides can warp over time with the heat from the fuser and can stop the fuser exit sensor actuation properly.

Replace the exit/turnover unit. Over time they warp and sensors go bad. Is there a piece of paper in the exit unit and one coming out of the fuser? Just replaced one last week for duplex jams.

thank you for your aid.yes i told that, whole of paper cross the fuser but just a little section of end of paper (about 1,2 cm) jams & wrinkle in the fusing.you said replace the unit.but in this country (iran),is very hard to find parts of this machine.even maybe not found.& if be found that is very very expensive.i should to fix it without new unit.i'll look that sensors soon & tell result

                    sorry for grammar mistakes.

the codes are : CPFD2-S2 (afew times) / DPFD1-S3 (& this afew time too) / POD1-S & POD1-N (the most of jam codes, about 90%)

today came back the jams in 1side mode again.but as i said, jams always happen in 2side mode.

thank & gratitude again to you guys for helping me.its wonderfull that you gives your valuable Experience to other.thankfull rainmaker , mbcruzin ,vlad_robas ,copytechonline and ntbann.

Sim 30-1 and check the POD sensors.

tnx but how should i chek that in this sim?in the display just afew sensors is highlighted.POD1,2,3 (& many others) are not highlight.whats that mean?that sensors which are not highlighted are ruined?in the service manual is not any explane for this.

These can have melted toner build on on the exit guide directly above the fuser as well as on the duplex reverse gate on the top of the right door. I've usually been able to scrape it off with good results. It can be hard to see because it is the same color as the plastic guides.

Ok simple way to check sensors. go into sim 30-1. POD 1,2,3 are all above the fuser. take a sheet of paper and slide it through the exit paper path. you should see POD 2,3 highlight meaning they are active. POD 1 will be directly above the fuser. just press it with your finger.

EDIT: If you can hit the sensor and you get no change on the display then you may have a bad sensor. Also I do not think you are upsetting anyone. just give us as much info as you can. We can help you better that way.
