[Jamming] MX-M453N Consistently jams below drum

KonicaMinolta tech requests assistance on a Sharp:
There are 2 jobs in the unit so every time I clear the jam it feeds another page.
The paper always has just entered the registration / (synchro?) rollers & stops just below the drum.
There is an optical paper sensor just below which I blew the dust off - I'm wondering if it has failed & how to test it.
I have the rear open & have confirmed that the motors do /can turn the paper transport & reg rollers when initializing on power up - just not when actually printing.
I found my way into tech mode but do not know what to do afterwards.
Any suggestions are appreciated while I check to see if I have the manual for this model...

Check sim 22-3, that will give jam code. The paper stop units(reg unit) have been known to break, the mounting/attachment for the pressure spring for the reg rollers breaks, that is visible without removing the paper stop unit (usually one side breaks). The paper stop sensor had issues on some models, don't remember if the mx-m 453 was included.

      PPD2_N2 mostly with occasional NL, N3, N1, N4

I had pulled that unit out to clean / inspect it but saw no missing springs.

i just fed a strip of paper thru front, middle & rear of roller - no gaps -paper tight all across so I still think it could be the sensor

is there a test for that sensor?

Could also be paper tray settings; you might be able to clear those jobs with the Job Status button - delete.

I tried to delete the jobs but it said it cannot delete fax/[something] jobs

If it's a fax job, clear Image Memory in TC 66-10.

RESOLVED - had a color Sharp in the shop so I picked the sensor off and tried it and we are good!

                Thanks for your responses!
