Re: Sharp MX-7040 Polaris frozen on "please wait"
It ended up being the HDD. I didn't provide it enough time to format. Once the HDD had finished formatting the green LEad light on the op panel stopped flashing.

Sharp MX-7040 Polaris frozen on "please wait"
I came to this machine yesterday it was stuck on please wait portion of boot up. I tried resetting the machine and it booted up to this part again. I was instructed by a co worker to remove the network cable. I powered the machine down and removed the network cable. I turned the printer back on and the display was black. I waited a minute or so and powered it down again. I reattached the network cable and powered it back on the display remained black. Mind you that every time I power the machine on fans are running. I decided to attempt an emupdate to flash the firmware. I switched the dip switch on the MFP board, inserted my USB drive and was able to upgrade on the op panel successfully. I then powered down and switched the dip switch back to the normal state and removed my USB drive. I then powered back up and the display was still black and fans were running. I called Sharp and they suggested I replace the SD card and or the CF card on the MFP board. I then attempted that. Powered on and the machines status hadn't changed. I called Sharp back and they suggested the scanner mother board and or the MFP board be replaced. I tried replacing the scanner mother board and an HDD per a co worker and neither worked. I haven't ordered the MFP board yet I'm currently awaiting an assist from a co worker. Anyone else encounter this?
