    [Misc] Scan to email problem MX2600

    I have a customer with two MX2600 in different departments, both set up to scan to email with the exact same settings and destinations. Both machines have scanned flawlessly for the last 3 years. Then yesterday we get a call one will not scan, so after checking all settings where identical to the one that still worked concluded it was the PWB so to test this swapped the PWB from the working one to the non working one swapping the little mem chip over of course. This solved the problem with the non working scanner "It Worked" so I left this working as it was the most used machine. This morning I have returned with another PWB for the other machine, installed it and input all the setting identical to the working machine and exported the address book over all setting are now as they should be but the damn thing will not scan from the one that was originally working. It prints ok but when you do a scan to email it goes through the motions as it should with data lights coming on and going off as normal and finishes as it should saying job stored with no error message what so ever. Its got me baffled!! Help please can anyone shed some light? Am I missing something?

    Is your customer using inhouse email (like exchange) or web based email ? Does each machine have seperate email accounts that they log into. Sounds like machine is sending email out (no error messages like ce-00 or i think error 8000 when you look at log) . Sounds like the mail server is not delivering the email but has accepted it or mfp would show an error ?

      I always use this doc for troubleshooting scan to email.
