Replaced rollers a few weeks ago, pulled a few staples out from under white platen cover. they called back. lol. they have "always" had this problem, been there many times. Sharp produced bad photo sensors and mixed them with good ones so you don't know which are bad until they start jamming. There is a bulletin on this and Sharp will reimburse your dealership for your time. I have replaced df sensors many times in the last year.

There is a clear plastic mylar(gate) if you lift the inner tray on the DF if its is deformed the paper would jam against it on its way to the second scan.
You will find that the users sometimes tear it out completely. I have cut a couple of new ones out of OHP film. Superglue works fine to stick it back, It must be done neatly or you can order that bit.

      Give the jam code.
      Whatever

Allan I was confused too in the beginning, but your instruction is still valuable.

            As always!

Well got it set for tues. I'm thinking sensors too. Have had this b4 with other machines and locations. Just checking if other techs have seen this b4. Would not do it every time(erratic sensor). I did take back cover off to check motors. Clutches. All seemed to work fine. No outside support there(I phone) so have to anticipate all. Thx. Jam code at sppd5 as in original post

In response to Sharp reimbursing for sensors replacement, please keep in mind that ALL the sensors in the unit need to be replaced for the $88 reimbursement. Not just the one that is bad. Page 7 of the bulletin
