Need SMTP help with Toshiba estudio 456

Hello all, and thank you in advanced helping me out.

I have a Toshiba estudio 456 network printer. We have had this printer for about a year. As of a few days ago the hard drive crashed and lost all settings. I am able to get everything setup except the SMTP client. I have tried using a office365 email, google email, yahoo email with no luck. I have googled the smtp server settings for each provider and I am still getting error message "Failed to connect to SMTP server" The only account that doesn't give me this error message is the yahoo email. With Yahoo however I am now getting error "Failed SMTP authentication". So I changed the authentication settings from "Login" to "AUTO" and the yahoo port to 587. What is odd about this is I copied the settings before the hard drive crashed, and am using the same settings from before the hard drive chased, and now they don't work. I want to know can I bypass SMTP and just use POP? I have looked up and down the whole TOP Access admin list to see if there is a setting I am missing. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank You!!

For Office 365, the 'reply to' email address must have the 'less than' (<) preceding the address and the 'more than' (>) at the end.

example would be (Without parenthesis): "<"user@domain.com">" instead of just user@domain.com? Still getting the same error.

SMTP settings for Office 365 are:

      SERVER smtp.office365.com
      PORT 587
      Encryption method: TLS

Here is a screen shot of what settings I have, and this is for the Yahoo account since its the only one that actually is connecting to the SMTP server, but getting the "Failed Authentication" error. Am I missing something here? Another thing that is odd, is everytime I change something in the smtp client area I enter the password as ********** 10 characters long, but it always only shows ***** characters. Is there a limit to how long a password can be?

      Thank You!smtp client.jpg

Your SMTP settings using port 587, which is secure where u need to enable SSL...

        Walkthrough of scan to email

        1. Email - Setup From Address & Name via TopAccess
        2. SMTP client - SSL, smtp server, authentication, ports via TopAccess
        3. DNS - configured DNS if cannot ping the smtp server from the machine ( network check ) via Panel

          hello

are you running office 365 or not. If your are not then you should try putting the IP address of your internet service providers SMTP.

eg. I use Telstra free SMTP

          mail.bigpond.com

if I ping that name in command prompt I get

          61.9.168.249

I then input the number instead of the name into the SMTP server address. Should be the same for if you use office 365.

          Working...
