Hey so I've been setting up these mfps to scan to mac for half a decade no and its always very straight forward. I did some testing with two 2555c's with firmware version 2155 on both and I'm having issues.
I was told by Toshiba TEC that El Capitan changed the way the file sharing works in order to provide better security on the root of the drive. Also they said that now when a user sets up their mac its wants to tie their account into their Icloud account and actually restricts that account from have admin rights on its own folders. With this main account when you look under the SMB section of the file sharing you cant enable SMB for the main account. Its greyed and wont let you check. If we setup a 2nd account and don't tie it to an icloud account we can log in to the main account and have the ability to check mark the 2nd account to use SMB. We use that account to authenticate and give read\write permissions. Now that SMB is enabled we can access it from windows pc's and all the macs; however the Toshibas cant connect.
Anyone successfully got this to work????
