    E 451C Strange network issue

I got a call on this 451C. The screen was frozen on the initial turn on. It never changes or gets ready. I changed the hard drive with a clone from another E451C. Everything seemed fine except the network keeps initializing. It never gets ready. However they can print to it with the original settings from before. I can't get to the E451C home page through the browser nor can I access the ADMIN network settings from the touch screen. I want to set up SMB scan. I'm afraid to 08*693 in case I can never get it to at least print again. The other weird thing I noticed was the IP address in the port window was 192.168.1.128_2 ???? I've never seen the last numbers like that. Any idea what happened?

The older machines often do this. Disconnect the network cable at turn it on then it should initialise. Next disable ipx then plug cable in. The _2 on the port just means more than 1.port has been created with the same ip address. Also check the firmware. If the hdd has been cloned from another machine ir could have different firmware on the hdd to what is on the machine.

Initialise the NIC card 08-693. The IP address _2 is because there is various ports set up with the same IP. If you go into the print driver properties you should see all the IP's in the ports tab.

I tried the 08 693. Now we can no longer print either. I sold them a newer machine. This one will no longer initialize. Junk it.
