pdf printing slowly

I need resolving a frustrating issue with a client. The client is using WIN 7 PRO 64 bit and ADOBE ACROBAT XI PRO. The problem is printing scanned documents takes forever. It take 2 to 3 minutes per page to print. The client is has totally flipped out that a 20 page document takes 30min to print on a 20 ppm machine. I greatly appreciate any and all help in resolving this issue.
I have selected PRINT AS IMAGE and DISABLED ADVANCE PRINTING FEATURES with no result. I installed the PS kit and driver no difference.

Hi,
There are a couple of questions to be answered first. Is the printer hardwired directly to the computer, or are they both on a network? Have you tried temporarily disabling anti virus software/firewalls and then sending to print?

The printer and computer are hard wired on the network. I have not tried disabling any anti-virus or firewall software.

What printer are you working with?
Where are the scan PDF's coming from?

The machine is a xerox wc7120. I have also allocated the max memory to printing

save as pdf and print from adobe reader and see if it makes a difference. If it is faster then refer them to adobe for support.

Try using a different pdf programme
Foxit pdf reader often works well when adobe is slow
had this many times
also could be an issue with adobe version
as someone already stated open it with your adobe then save as and re open and try and print
