    Toshiba EStudio Printing Issue

    Hi All,

We recently acquired a Toshiba EStudio 450. Everything works as needed except the network printing. I can ping the device, http into totalaccess.

Per the 450s logs the print jobs are received from the workstation but nothing is processed. Is there a setting which needs to be enabled or a port other than 9100?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Chris

Just above or below the nic card should be a print enabler (looks like a thumb drive). If this is not there then you can not print. Also make sure the print driver and the firmware match.

gm 2010 is the print/scan enabler for the estudio 350/450 only.

Do you have department codes turned on?
Are you selecting the correct paper size?
            which driver?
does the job status light flash after the job arrives?

Go to the configuration(or device options) tab of the printer properties and make sure it is configured correctly. Did you use the correct driver, was it manually added or via the driver cd?

                wrong machine and enabler combination.

                Hello all,
I've went through exactly the same problem,
e-350/450 machines with the right enabler and you can ping, send orders to the printer, the machines flashes and nothing out.

the enabler you use is not compatible with your main unit(machine) edition.
although the machine is 450 and the enabler is GM2010 but there are different edition for different destination.
there are several Toshiba edition i.e.:
                1. NAD north America destination.
                2. CAD Canadian destination.
                3. JPD japan destination.
                4. ASD Asian destination.
                5. SAD Saudi Arabia destination.

you can check this out next to the machine serial number.

i've followed this dilemma directly with Toshiba and they had replaced the enabler to match the main unit edition.

                hope it help

Alright number on e things you need to do especially if using any vista pc's is bring firmware up version 4006 and drivers up to the most current. Had issues with a few lately do the same thing. Also them typically are setup as RAW with port 9100. Try LPR with qeue name of "print" byte count does not need to be enabled. Toshiba's client cd's always set them up this way to be default.

If you have department codes enabled and do not have one stored within the driver, it should pop a box to enter a code; however this is not always the case. Both toshiba and ricoh copiers will sometimes send the job anyway but you will see the data light blink and it goes away because the machine rejects the authentication.

Also make you you are not sending your jobs with private printing enabled. If you had played with it and not set it back to normal. They will continue to go to the private print qeue under the "job status" button.

This is a little late but also if drivers are installed on the server or even locally, if SNTP is disabled, check top access logs by using a browser to see if the print jobs are in the INVALID queue, if they are in the invalid queue, enable SNTP in the print driver.

                      Hello all!

I am having the same issue - however I ALSO cannot even scan...the button doesn't even work. This leads me to believe that the GM2010 that I have is not even being registered as present. I just had my hard drive replaced, and new firmware installed on it - could there be an issue with the version that the tech installed that is incompatable with the gm2010?

I did read all of the responses above, but since my problem is slightly different, I figured I would pop out a quick inquiry before giving it a fiddle.

                      Any information is appreciated.

                      Thank you!
