hi, i have a Toshiba e studio 166 Always adding toner, the toner led is blinking, but the machine does not go start mode, the toner motor turns on.

Do you have another used toner to test it with?

make sure the toner cart is not jammed itself, i think especially brand new carts if you dont shake them up nicely they can be quite difficult to drive. check further that nothing is blocking the toner path. make sure the gear is not worn out (you would surely hear grinding noises if it was)

will try give more advice if i think of anything

make sure the toner sensor is working properly thru the service mode... it could also be the toner motor is faulty.. had that on e studio 350 (?) been so long ago now not sure of model number ( also haven't had my coffee yet)

It s possible the gear who touch the motor gear is wearing (wear and tear)

yeah that was my thought also.. or it could go back to the control board for it ( unlikely but possible)

1.check dv unit cable
2.if ok 08>203>1 then 201 decrease
3. on off

anyone knows how to apply toner (simulation) in the dv because it seems to me dv has inside very low toner end much dv

First, check the list motor if working at main drive assembly if not working it is possible than toner sensor is defective. Change for good toner sensor and you will see the lift motor is working. If the same, then possible main board problem..
