e-Studio 456, losing its IP Address...??

I have a customer whose machine keeps losing its IP, and I'm told its set to STATIC (going there today). He says that the address, subnet and gateway all go to "0's" and he has to reprogram it often.

I'm wondering if there might be a precedent of some kind?? HDD? It's got late firmware, I believe -2132

    Thanks in advance,
    OC

My guess what he's not telling you is that it also is displaying the message "IP address conflict" on the lower left of the screen, or someone has cleared that message by hitting Function Clear twice. When there's an IP conflict it zeroes out all those values. They need to either choose a higher IP address that won't be taken by DHCP or reserve that specific address on their router.
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?

For a temporary solution you can also use 08-9563 (IP conflict detect) and set it to 2 (invalid). That way the copier at least won't give up it's IP and reset back to 0.0.0.0.

I did not know that code existed! That's going in my cheat notes for sure. Thanks!
