What is your current firmware version? How long is the boot process from startup to READY?

                As what I know, Normal start-up: Approx. 130 sec. (100 V/200 V series).

The software we are using is version 2012, the boot time to ready is more than 240s, intelligent installation on 100V / 200V. So I need to fix the ay.

i see that on all 6 series. 306 356 456 etc. is there a workaround to speed things up ? boot time is more than 2 mins. i thought that was all about series 6 OS.

Firmware version 2012 very old...Latest firmware version is 2140...Starting from version 21xx onwards, firmware include counter measure for hdd failure.

Recommend u to check hdd smart info for hdd defect.

                        Re: TOSHIBA E856

I agree with updating that older firmware.
I is my experience that the 856 series does take a bit of time to boot. 5 minutes is not unheard of.

Why are are you in a hurry to make the machine boot faster? Relax. Take those few minutes to clear your head and think of happy thoughts.

3 to 5 mins per boot, as a technician is a hell alot of a time. It easily can extent repair times to 30 mins more
