toshiba e-studio 2550c toner scan to email

I set up scan to email and it worked fine then the wall ethernet outlet went dead so thier volunteer IT guy came in and messed around I wasnt there then the machine went off line so he came back and changed something and its back on line but now the problem is when we scan to email the recipient gets a ton of random characters and not the image that was sent
    any ideas would be appreciated

might be helpful if you mentioned:

    what operating system being used.
what was "changed" by IT and what changes you put it back to
printing ASCII code usually means the wrong/corrupt driver was set on the PC... sounds like he used an HP driver or maybe even a WSD driver ( big problems )

The reason the IT guy messed with it could be a result of an update from MicroCrap changing shit around .

but all speculation on my part with out further info

I think he did the generic drivers and they are on a wsd port should i go in and remove the drivers on all 4 pcs then install from toshiba the drivers and make sure they are on an TCP/IP address

YES YES a thousand times YES!

that IT guy is a PUTZ... and I would reflect what was done to the customer to show it was your fault... and make sure you have them there when you make changes so they can see your way works.
