Toshiba GD1320NX Fax Module Will not Initialize

I recently installed a Toshiba ES-3555C at a customer site. It had all 4 functions (Copy/Print/Scan/Fax). It has the GD1320NX Fax module installed. All of a sudden it lost it's memory. It will not re-initalize even after going through the *1, 100/102 Fax memory initialization procedure multiple times...Even with a replacement GC1320NX unit. You can't set the terminal ID (Greyed out), nor does the copier even recognize that there is a fax board installed when you look at the machine set-up in Top Access.

Could the System board be bad? The Ethernet Port works fine. All the pins that the GD1320NX plugs into are straight and not bent. Am getting a good connection between the pins and the plug. As well as the USB connection. So, what am I missing? The client can use the other functions, but relies on FAX quite a lot. HELP.

Are there any other service call codes related to HDD failures or Fax in history list?

Check in setting mode 08-9905 if it's displaying the Fax FW version.

If you have latest FW won't be a waste of time formatting HDD and load it fresh. Perform initialization procedures 08-9030 after FW update and color calibration procedures
Initialize Fax Board - set destination in 08-9001, 4 is for USA/Canada.

Connect the phone line after you checked fax functions are to be normal without the line in. I've seen bad lines
Defects are simple, our mind is complicated

Get a cheap analog handset and plug it into the Tel connector on the fax board. Do you hear dial tone?

Any chance the customer has a VOIP line?

Press 1,3 Power on. Set code 104 to 0 if not on a VOIP system
