Help me feed my e-Studio 28...

Two days ago I added a GD-1080 fax board to an e-Studio 28. Configured/initialized and checked it out...it works great. Next, I replaced the working 1040 controller with a used (worked fine on previous machine) 1010 controller. Turned it on and everything seems to be working ok EXCEPT... it won't take anything from the Automatic Document Feeder. It worked perfectly before. The only involvement with the ADF was unpluging it to take the back off, and I DID plug it back in. Shouldn't the controller already recognize the ADF? Anything obvious I'm missing here?

I don't believe the GL1010 would have anything to do with the document feeder. Perhaps in installing the GL1010 you inadvertently disconnected or knocked a connector loose somewhere. The only issue I ever had from installing the controller was not raising it high enough to make good contact. Also, you should reinitialize the fax with *1 100 again after installing the controller. But the document feeder issue I have never seen.

Thanks, I'll check that out again. I did reinit. the fax after the controller install and it seems to work great. I was mostly wondering if it could be a Firmware thing with the new controller. Even the copy function wont feed from there. I'll cheeck connections again.

Well... I came in this morning to start with it an it worked. Maybe it just needed to rest over the weekend. I did nothing but turn it on!
