Toshiba 2860 error E01

Does anyone have any experience with Error E01 on this machine. I have checked/cleaned the exit switch, dismantled, cleaned and reconditioned the transfer belts/rollers and all rollers in the aligning unit. The error occurs about 9 out of ten times even on a single page single copy. I have not yet checked for the 1.875 second timing from aligning clutch turn on to paper detection at the exit switch. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

If the paper is indeed stopping around the exit area, one thing that I have seen a number of times on this machine is the gear on the heat roller slipping around the heat roller because the 'key' on the inside of the gear gets worn away. Something worth looking at.
