Imagistics cm3530 (Toshiba 3511) scanner help?

    Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to get my Imagistics cm3530 to scan to my computer. The copier and printer are working fine, but I cant seem to get the scanner to work. It will scan to E-File...but not my computer. Is there something special I have to do to get it to send a file to my computer? I have Vista, so I had to download the drivers from Toshiba.com....would that have anything to do with it?

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!!

Vista is a pain to setup this way. First is to turn of the smb signing. second setup an account on the copier with a password. then set the machine to scan to the machine using the account and password.

This is overly simple steps to do but you get the idea.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Thanks. Question, do you have to connect the copier via Cat 5 cable to get the scanner to work, or can it work through USB? (It is only connected to one computer)

Scan to SMB works via network. e.g. you need RJ-45 and cat 5/5e cable connection.
I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.
