    Toshiba E Studio 550 Cycling/False Jams

During a copy run this machine will stop in the middle of a job, start cycling like its adding toner, but its not, then it goes into a jam indication, there is no jam or if it is its not jammed just paper usually on the right side door just stopped.Checking the error history i get all different kinds of error codes, nothing in particular or repeating.Usually have to turn machine off and back on to get it going again.Swapped out power supply and laser unit, still does exactly the same thing.

Check sensors in service mode. Check sensors actuators if they are not sleeping and moves smoothly and easily.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

The couple of times I have had this issue have been the fuser exit sensor, paper feed tires worn, and crappy office depot paper that will not feed. The only other time was worn out developer not toning up causing it to constantly add.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Hi guys, if the m/c keeps cycling for a while check your jam codes for incorrect paper size errors. If you see a lot of them them, cut the tie wraps on the reg sensor wiring harness. Incorrect data is being sent to the logic board and the m/c sits and cycles.

        Hope this helps

eb5? either the one way gear on the lcf feed port is locked up, the shaft the gear rides on is wasted or a clutch is bad in one of the feed ports. the gear is black and is behind the clutch. or one of the clutches on the 1st cassette is bad. are you getting 55 copies a minute or is it more like 10? if its not 55 hdd is bad.
