[C260] Peak detection error
Does the exposure lamp light? (Perform the output check: 03-267)
YES 1. Check if the connectors on the CCD and SLG boards are disconnected.
2. Check if the shading correction plate is dirty.
3. Check if the conductor pattern on the CCD board is short- or open-circuited.
4. Check if the conductor pattern on the SLG board is short- or open-circuited.
5. Replace the lens unit.
6. Replace the SLG board.
NO
1. Check if the connectors of the exposure lamp and inverter are disconnected.
2. Check the SLG board if the connector pin CN21 is disconnected or the harness is short- or opencircuited.
3. Check if the conductor pattern on the SLG board is short- or open-circuited.
4. Replace the SLG board.
5. Replace the inverter.
6. Replace the exposure lamp.

Thanks for the info. How do I perform the output check: 03-267? I start the printer, and during warmup ( less than 1 minute) the error code appears and I am not able to access anything.
Thanks for the advise you can give about this.
When the copier is coming up does the exposure lamp come on?
The scanner assembly should move to the left and right and position itself under the plastic strip between the left ADF slit glass and the main glass to the right, then the lamp should light. This all happens very quickly during warmup and is the last thing that will/should be happening before the error comes up.
If there is no lamp then it is either the lamp, the inverter board on the scanner assy, SLG board, power supply. If you are getting a lamp then clean the white refrence strip, optics (make sure they are in place), lens. Check CCD to SLG connections, dis/reconnect all CCD/SLG connections. I have also seen once a power supply cause c260 even though the lamp was lighting.
replace the light harness => it's brocken.
Sorry for my english, i'm french tech toshiba
Forgot about that one, if you are talking about the ribbon-cable from the SLG to inverter board. It moves along with the scanner and many times it will develop a crack/crease/break in it. Will make the light flicker on and off as it scans or C260. I think this is what jobez is saying.
