I'm helping another technician with a Toshiba eStudio 3508A with copy registration issues from the ADF. We went though the FS menu service mode and dialed in the registration in the service mode to perfect. When I make a copy in service mode, it comes out perfectly. When I reboot the machine into the user mode the issue comes right back, as if I changed nothing in service mode. I can boot back into service mode and the changes to the values remain and the copies look excellent again. I attempted a firmware update which it took, but the issue did not change. We spoke with Toshiba support and they didn't seem to know what the issue was either.
Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this? Any ideas or tips are appreciated.
