ca1= polygon (laser) motor abnormality.. check connector between laser unit and relay pwa. (connector #cn26 on board) make sure connection is tight. more than likely, you'll have to change out the laser lunit.. god luck

You will find a lot of help messages with about CA 1 on E-16.There was a major problem with the first LSU on those machines.Toshiba came with a improved one after a short time. Here, they replaced all bad LSU`s with no limits of guarantee.
After replacement we met an other error AC 2.This was solved with a firmware update.But customers where not very happy.
.....a lot of horribles days .

Replace LSU and update the firmware.

How to change the laser that meaning the part number and to update the firmware pls help

Hi,

I don't have the part number, but for upgrading the firmware, you can use Toshiba viewer software, Jig, and MS-DOS batch. usually i use MS-DOS batch and Toshiba Viewer, but now it is very difficult to find the firmware, because the machine quite old. better you call Toshiba Technician to solve the problem.
