    4511 Firmware

    Hi there,

I am having an issue printing color on my 4511 (I have done all the proper driver installs) but no color. It was suggested that I update the firmware. My current firmware is listed as G350SY0U240. It was also suggested that I "blow out" the hard drive - at this point i'll try anything.

    Please help,

    Thanks

Make sure you use PCL5c for the color driver as the PS and PCL6 for the 4511 does not support color. Also check your driver defaults for the setting regarding color/B&W/Grayscale

Actually didn't need to do anything with the machine, the company came out and replaced it with a 3511. A little slower but once I plugged it in, it printed color right off the bat. The color is not nearly as good as my Ricoh 1224c was, but whatever, I'm just glad it prints something!
