I work for a school district and have an old scanner/ printer that is no longer under service. The error code I am getting for this Toshiba e-studio 556 is CD40. After extensively looking the problem seems to be with the waste toner box, unfortunately after watching many you tube videos and going through every manuals I can find nothing that has shown me where this waste toner box is located. This printer has black toner only which is about 2 feet long and cylinder, no color at all. Underneath that is a red velvet heat shield looking piece of equipment, nothing but paper trays under that. I have taken off the back metal plate to no avail and checked the sides up and down. I am hoping that someone here has had previous experience with this type of printer and can lead me to what I am looking for so I can replace this box and get this printer back up and working.
