HELP ME - sort E-studio machines to "dispose" of them somehow - sell or ?

    Hi all,

New here and looking some help. I have two toshiba photocopiers that my ex husband bought at auction with the intention or reselling - but never did anything with it. We split up and I have since moved and "inherited" them and they've been sitting in my garage for about 2 years. Prior to this both were working perfectly. I know I should have done something with them but had lots of other things to sort I would now like to get rid of it and today plugged them in. Here are the results:

E- studio 350 - It starts up but the screen shows only a picture of the printer and the screen. (excuse non tech lang). I let it run for a while but nothing. I saw elsewhere to press and hold 0 and 8 while turning it on but that did nothing. Is it gone? a "friend" suggested it may just be cold? to take "battery" inside ?? Am I wasting my time with this and should I just dump/recycle it or is there any hope? If giving instructions to me pls be gentle and specific as I know nothing about these!

E-studio 2330c - Starts and then says Call for service - F100 - reboot the machine. Thoughts on this please and as per above pls be gentle and specific!

    thanks in advance

The Toshiba e350 is a long ago discontinued copier that has no value. Just get rid of it.

The e2330c is a decent Toshiba discontinued colour copier with a Hard Drive error. This is not something you can repair yourself. If the copier does not have too many meter clicks on it you should consider paying a trained Toshiba technician to assess it and try and repair it. If you are not willing to spend at least $200.00- $500.00 to get the copier repaired, get rid of it. If there are more than 50,000 color clicks on the meter I would get rid of it because you will soon be facing up to $1,000.00 charges to replace worn out developer material inside the copier.

If you are thinking of this machine to resell as a money maker, not a chance.

If you need a color copier for your home office, it is a maybe.

Your ex husband made some not great decisions about buying used copiers.

You may be able to get a scrap metal dealer to come and collect them, the 2330 weighs about 200kg

... with about 150 kg of no value plastic. Only in wonderland do scrap dealers come to collect small amounts of metal.

Last e2330c I disposed of required three plastic contractor bags to remove all of the plastic before I was able to take the carcass to the metal recycler where they would accept it for free. This assumes you have the vehicle to transport two copiers in.

Copiers are rarely accepted as curbside trash.

I tried to make an earlier response but it didn't seem to post....

I'm in the UK and will likely have to pay to get these taken to a recycling centre that will take them.

Can anyone give me any idea of how much the E2330c might be worth if fixed? Below is what I found about it from one ad my husband had drafted.

Thanks for all the help so far - its not looking hopeful! : (

          Total Print count: 157223
          Current Printer Cartridge levels:Yellow: 50%
          Magenta: 100%
          Cyan: 75%
          Black: 75%

Your e2330c is not worth anything if it does not work.

If you want to get rid of your two copiers, perhaps there is a Toshiba dealer in your area who will pick them up for free.

Unless the copier has colour clicks well under 50,000 I would not take it even for free.

I am trying to get rid of these in my service fleet not add to them.

"Your e2330c is not worth anything if it does not work."

That was why I asked how much it might be worth if it was fixed. But thanks for your response - I see you are firmly of the opinion that I should just get rid of them any way I can.
