I’ve been out of service work for about 3 years but still have a few customers who call for service. They changed black toner with a generic and it displays “toner not recognized “ . I don’t have access to any service manuals any longer other than the ones I have hard copies of. I would suspect the cartridge as the problem but when I put the empty genuine cartridge back in it still shows same message, I would think it should revert back to replace toner instead of still showing toner not recognized, am I wrong on that ?
Any suggestions ?
