    eRA (Enhanced Remote Assistance)

With the latest V1700 firmware all eBridge Next copiers can now via built in VNC viewer allow a service tech to view a customer's LCD panel and access the Service screens of the copier.

What is the website you have to log into to get the four digit VNC code to give to the customer to access their copier remotely?

My usual go to is to install RealVNC as a free VNC viewer but this company has changed their policy and now only offers a free 14 day trial with a user name and password.

I have found an alternative called TightVNC. It is freeware with no username and password and is small and installs quickly.

... in a manner similar to eRA, when VNC is enabled on the copier via 08-8794-1 as part of your standard pre-delivery set up procedures, you can remotely reach all aspects of the copier including the LCD panel and the Service submenus. It is like you are standing in front of the copier.

You only need to install the client part of TightVNC on one computer when first installing the copier. Or you can do that remotely should the need arise.

As a service provider, this saves you and the customer time and money when attempting to service the copier. You improve customer satisfaction and you drive less which is better for the planet.

Windows Quick Assist and TeamViewer can help you with print drivers, Top Access configurations like scan to email and billing for professional services.

With the high reliability of Toshiba's eBridge Next copiers, the objective is to drive to customer's locations as little as possible optimizing the Service Dept's profitability in a time of high inflation.

I have never met a customer yet who was opposed to remote service.

Most of these functions have been around for a good while...since 1500 software. the last few softwares have the VNC remote available as initiated from the copier's panel display.
It REALLY helps out tons and is nyce !
Especially post covid now that every friggen user is 'new' or 'the person that knows how to use the copier is working from home' and they have no clue nor do they want one....

URL to access the eRA server depends on your location area.

The e-BRIDGE Remote Assist User Guide from the KB has all the info you need.

I do recommend all your compatible systems have the needed stuff turned on during setup and also you can push this all out with a Cloud Connect policy.

Also..RealVNC has a freeware standalone version of it's executable - doesn't install anything on the client workstation ...

... I tried your USA link and it works for me but I have to first get my FYI.toshiba.com Administrator to enable this great feature for me.

I tried to download the VNC standalone version but it keeps on asking me to create a 14 day trial.

        Thanks,

Not sure where you are clicking but you just select the standalone version from the drop down and save the executable...you can ignore all the 14 day trial spam, its for something else.
