Mac M1 Chipset - Access File Share 05ac line

    Hey all!!!!!!

So, in order to keep up on the Mac side of things, last year I got a MacBook Air M1. However, I cannot for the LIFE of me figure out how to access the Toshiba File Share in my home office. e5005ac.

MFP shows up in Network > Finder
Connect - Connection failed - Connect As - There was a problem connecting to the server mfp-1234567 Check the server name, etc. etc.

It's probably an easy-ish fix, but I can't find much of anything on it.

    EDIT - Mac OS 12.2.1 (21D62)
    MacBook Air 2020 / M1 chipset
Unsure of FW level of the 5005ac

From the desktop click on the Go menu in the top menu bar. Select Connect to Server. Type in the path exactly like this (the slashes are opposite on MacOS versus Windows): smb://IP Address/file_share In the pop up username/password box choose guest and you should be in. This works for me every time. I've had lot's of issues trying to get the path to work using the device name, so I only use the IP address.
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?

Negative. Copied and pasted the path, my IP is 192.168.5.207.

Keep getting that cannot connect to server error.

Very strange. I just tried this on an e2505AC running v.1700 f/w (latest). I wonder if your machine needs a firmware upgrade?
