Removed and cleaned Transfer Belt unit, all Drums & Dev. units and Image control sensor unit . Check 08 - 2528,2529, 2530, 2531 reset all to zero. 2531 will not stay on zero .Go back to[ 1 ] black unit. All 4 color patches [ Y, M , C, K ] are on Transfer Belt and no background color on the belt . What sensor control the black patch on the Belt ? Are the two image control sensors interchangeable?

Yes, you can interchange for testing. Make sure the sensors shutter is operational while you swap them and don't open more threads hoping you will get quick responses.
